William Hoffman Diary (1853-1865)

William Hoffman travelled with his family from Covington, Indiana to Jacksonville, Oregon along the Oregon Trail. His 38-page diary describes their trip and his subsequent years as a resident of Jacksonville. The diary was generously contributed to our library by Frederick Keith.

At the beginning of the diary is an alphabetized list of surnames mentioned therin. If you see a surname name of interest to you, use your search function to find it in the diary.

Our library also houses the Moses Allen Williams diary and we have indexed the names of those for whom Rev. Williams performed marriages, baptisms, and funeral services in Jacksonville. Follow this link, Williams Index to view this index.
